Well, there was a typhoon that hit the country last week. It was not as strong as Ondoy but it still brought some damage, especially to our house. I was lucky that I was able to go home safe last Tuesday, when the typhoon struck, but the winds were already strong and I was greeted by the darkness caused by a power outage in the whole area. I couldn't sleep that night since it was hot and I was afraid that once the heavy rain continued, flood will enter the house again. Thankfully, after I woke up, the sun was shining, however, electricity was still not working and the streets were littered with fallen leaves. That day, I couldn't go to work as well due to the aftermath of the typhoon(there goes another deduction to my paycheck...), the electricity was still not brought back the whole day. When we woke up early in the morning, we noticed that our neighbors already had electricity so we were excited only to find out that our wasn't working. We first assumed that only half the street's houses were fully restored but was dumbfounded when only ours was truly the one that has no electricity until our helper noticed that a wire from the main line of Meralco was disconnected. We reported the situation to Meralco immediately and followed up a lot of times but knowing how slow big companies are, they only showed up yesterday, much to my dismay. That is why I did not have a decent sleep since Tuesday until Friday. Fortunately, the work load in the office were not that heavy. I just hope it would not happen again. Our house really gets the worst of luck everytime:/
I've been catching up on a lot of shows recently like Numb3rs and right now, Chuck and I plan to catch-up on Bones next week. I also started watching Modern Family which is a very funny show.
I'll try to update within the week. I'm so tired right now and need to catch up on sleep:(
