Last Thursday, I was watching Streetdance 2 3D in the theater as I got a text from one of the companies I applied to. This was the same company that I tried to apply to a lot of times before so I was glad that I was given another opportunity. The person was inviting me to attend the day after for a writing exam at their office in Makati. The following day, me and my mom, who had a lunch affair with her former classmate, went to Makati early so I can arrive at the office by 1pm which is the call time.
We couldn't get a taxi so we decided to commute instead. I wasn't able to eat lunch because it was almost 1pm. Luckily, there was a KFC nearby so I was able to buy a bottle of water to refresh myself. The office building looked nice and once I got to the office itself, I was amazed since it looked very cozy and relaxing. They made me do a typing test first then they made me write an article about Adele. I admit I do not really like her but it's a good thing that I post on pop music forums and I'm quite aware of her achievements so I was able to do it. There were two other applicants that day but I noticed there weren't a lot of employees in the office. I guess others were doing their work at home or they were just in another place. The facilities seemed nice and the whole environment just made it seem like a perfect working area. I really hope I get considered for the job. Though I still wish I get hired at PAL as a flight steward, I also want to consider this job. The entire exam was short and I finished by 2:30 pm so I headed to Glorietta after to eat since I was hungry before meeting my mom at the gym. They told me they will just call me this week if I pass the exam since the boss wasn't there and it's already Tuesday and I still haven't received any. I know it's a 3-day training so if they call me this week, I guess it will start by next week.
So for now, I'll just keep crossing my fingers for some good luck.

Right before the season finale of Grey's Anatomy season 8, creator Shonda Rhimes warned us that a beloved character will die. After much speculation, it all boils down to 3 characters, namely Arizona,Lexie and April. While I was watching the finale earlier today, I was shocked to find out that the death was already revealed within 15 minutes of the show! Other shows would typically show it near the end to prolong the wait but revealing it earlier still gave us a chance to mourn along the characters. It turned out to be Meredith's sister, Lexie, who was crushed under a wing of the crashed plane. I'm sad about the death and I have seen hateful comments triggered by strong emotions. She was really a well-loved character that I would hate to see her leave. Another big surprise was the exit of Dr. Teddy Altman. She didn't die but she was forced, or rather, fired, to take another offer from another hospital. I guess Christina will be the head of cardio when we get back. The others who were in the plane survived but sustained some injuries. The doctors who were left at the hospital still haven't heard about the tragedy and we'll have to wait for it when the new season starts by September or October.

Belated Happy 75th birthday to my Lola Chit!
She had her birthday last Wednesday, May 9, but she celebrated it with a big party last Sunday which was held at the Valle Verde clubhouse. It was a nice party attended by my lola's friends, family and relatives and accompanied by great food. Just the previous Sunday, we celebrated my cousin's 18th birthday at a restaurant in Bonifacio High Street called Sutra.
Yesterday, I got to watch the series finale of Desperate Housewives which marks the end of an era. It was a tv show that made a huge impact back when it first aired on 2004. I didn't start watching it until a few years ago and I instantly got hooked. So many characters introduced and a lot of crazy storylines made the show interesting and something that will be remembered. Along with that, several shows have been airing their finales since it's that time of the year again. I'm glad most of the shows I watch are renewed. Aside from those that have formally concluded already, only one show I watch was canceled which was The Secret Circle although that wasn't really a surprise.

After several years of hype, the superhero movie finally made it to the theaters last week and I was delighted to watch it with my mom last Thursday. It was 2 hours worth of action packed and comedic scenes that will surely make you enjoy this movie. To me, it's already the summer film of the year along with The Hunger Games. Before this movie came out, several stand-alone movies were done for most of the characters in this movie. What makes this even better is that even the star-studded cast, every one of them has equal screentime and highlights. Each one of them has a moment that will make you remember and will even make you laugh. I've seen comments saying this is the best superhero movie ever and that may just be true. Everything was well-executed. It had a good director, good dialogues and good actors. The plot may be cliche but what does one expect from a superhero movie. It is basically a good vs. bad storyline but its execution is the best thing in this movie. The climax part of the movie at the end is similar to Transformers 3 but was done better. The fighting scenes were more clear. It is nice that the writers were able to keep the characters the same as they had in their own movies. This movie is highly recommended to everyone. Just a tip, stay after the credits!
