Over the Hedge

I watched this cute movie with my younger brother at Glorietta last Monday while the rest of my family was watching the third installment of X-Men.We were supposed to try the new Mall of Asia but they changed their minds.I don't know why.Dammit.I was looking forward to going to that mall.Anyway,The movie was about this raccoon that tried to steal a lot of food from a bear but he got caught,to make the matter worse,the food was destroyed by a fast moving truck on the road.So the raccoon made a deal with the bear and promised to return everything after a period of time.The raccoon goes to this village where a group of hibernating animals such as turtle,skunk,possum,porcupine,etc. were alienated by the human beings.So the raccoon used this as an advantage to lure them into helping him get the food.He introduced him into the real world where the story really happens.Just watch the movie to find out what happened next.By the way,Avril Lavigne was actually in the movie.She was the voice of the possum.

I'm really hating TREDONE right now.It's all because of our student's inquiry plan.Everything is confusing.Then our MATAPRE activity required us to recall what functions and relations are.I'm so dumb!!!I can't remember what it is!!!waah!Oh..and I'm so thankful that I don't have to go through that ELL thing in ENGLCOM.Actually,none of us had to.Mondays are no-aircon days.The St. Andrews' classrooms were hot last Monday.I guess airconditioning doesn't work on that day.Tsk tsk tsk.The lobby of the bulding though,is really stinky,so I don't mind if there's no airconditioning in that area.We had our lab today.Me and my partner,John Jo were both afraid to light up a match!!LoL.So we had help from our classmates.Haha.Then we watched "Usok" for our assignment in SCIENVC after classes whcih was really boring.At least we got to use the viewing rooms.After that,I bought a yellow pad and two notebooks from the school supplies.I went home immediately after.

Oh thank God Brandy's out of ANTP.Although I know what's going to happen and who's gonna win.I still get into what's happening in the present.

first weekend for college..

We finally had our first weekend...however,mine wasn't really interesting..we just had lunch today at my grandparent's house...like we usually do...and I also got to watch National Treasure on one of those cable channels..I also added up some friends in Friendster and YM....and I also printed the worksheets for the first lab activity even though my lab was still on Wednesday..

oh....and I really want to watch Over the Hedge...just for fun....I think it's a cute movie...I just have no time...too bad...

anyway,classes resumes tomorrow...I hope we'll have not much stuff to do..

What a Big American Mistake!!

well...what can I say..I knew this was gonna be the worst American Idol season....

I still cannot accept that Katharine lost to that granny-looking-and-sounding Taylor Hicks!!

oh well...that didn't surprise me...at least the show had the finalists sing...

Paris lost her voice in their last group performance...Lisa nailed her song....Kevin still sang kiddie sngs with matching back-up choreography..Toni Braxton's voice can't be heard...Kellie had a stint as the blond girl that's so stupid..Mandisa outshined Kath in the all-women's performance..Clay Aiken made a special guest performance..and also Mary J. Blige singing alongside Elliott in "One"..Prince,Meatloaf,Live,Dionne Warwick were also performers...tand there was the American Idol awards..well....I'm looking forward to the next season...and this time...I hope that they will have good batch of singers..

I was trying to go online yesterday,but somehow,the computer won't connect to the internet...so I guess I'll just type in what happened yesterday and today...

we didn't really do heavy workload or discussions..and everytime we lecture,the teacher sorts of put a fun mix in it..so it's much more fun to learn...but we do have assignments that requires some time..

well...Im tired to blog right now cause I want to go to some other sites as well...hehe...anyway...the first week of college is finished....so I think that serious learning will start next week..

oh,we've been trying out the Animo canteen...just for a change..hehe..

The Last Stand

classes ended early today...well not that early as half of the block's dismissal time since they had only one subject and we have two....but it still ended early...around 10:10am....but our LABYENVC was the first meeting we had for the subject so we were dismissed a little bit earlier..prior to that,we had a bit of discussion/activity in TREDONE class....then half of us went to the STRC building for the next subject....where he had divided us into grups...one for lecture and one for lab...i hate the grouping for the lab...there's only two of us...so we need to work harder compared to the others which were grouped into three...at least the group for the lecture is a bit better....and we had a good name for the grup name in the lab so we got 2 merit ponts....yehey...

anyway...after the classes,we tried to buy the book for ENGLCOM class but there were no more stock....and we have an assignment for tomorrow...what a bad time to run out of stock...and speaking of books...the Chem book was so expensive!!damn...and the cheaper one is located at the back of KFC!!!whoa...how weird...then we also had to bring materials so more expensive....not to mention we have to print out our own lab worksheets..

so after being unsuccessful in trying to have possession of the book...I immediately proceeded to the LRT station and for the first time....well the 2nd actually....I used the MRT to go to Ayala...but this time,I didn't really know where to ride if I didn't asked the lady in front of me in the ticketing line..but anyway...the MRT was better since there were not so many people who rode it....or maybe it was just a bit early...anyway,I went down at the Ayala station in SM Makati....I went to G4 to buy a ticket for the X-Men 3 movie which was surprising that the theater was only half-full....or maybe again...it was just too early...well the movie started at 11:20am..and before I got inside the movie house,I saw Pau and Mikhail buying food in Wendy's so I surprised them with so much enthusiasm....and welcomed me the same....I guess...anyway,when we went inside,Chris was waiting already so I had my hello's...we were so excited for the movie..but there were only a couple of movie trailers!!!aww...anyway,the movie was the best among the three...except that...

and Storm was great!!!she had more exposure in the movie...and her moves!!so great....Jean Grey didn't had a nice costume....look for yourself...

enough with the spolers...I parted ways with my friends and I went around the mall hoping I could buy some stuff...in the end,I ended up buying a flip-flop from Aerican boulevard and Jeans from Surplus..hehe...then I also bought Skittles....there's a new flavor...can't wait to try it out...

I arrived home just in time to watch American Idol...and based from the show...unfortunately....Taylor's gonna win!!!damn....worst Idol!!anyway,Aj gave me a number to use to vote for Kat for free but I wasn't able to use it since I have no phone..too bad...

acting Lust??

The second day as a Froshie was better than yesterday except for the PE class..

Anyway,....the aircons in our classrooms are fixed and working already!!!cheers!LOL...

So we had an essay writing in ENGLCOM which is about our ability in using the English language...although I know that I am good in the language....I was pressured because I might have to undergo the ELL program which is like a remedial program to make us better in using the language...so I had to think about what I'm going to write..

anyway,our prof,Prof. Marianne Gaerlan,still has her nice attitude.That's good..

MATAPRE was our next class and because most of us were "obedient and punctual",we went into the classroom immediately even though there was a thirty minute break..I was so surprised when I learned that we will tackle algebra!!!I really thought that we will not be having lessons like that!!i thought we're just gonna write some things about math or something like it...oh well..the teacher seems to be nice and tries to have fun...

We ate in Pizza Hut afterwards and had our lunch.Then we went inside the University Mall to know what's inside and inside,I saw two of my id4 classmates playing billiards...but they didn't see me though...

We went back to the campus for our next class,POLISCI,the teacher was really fun,which wasn't really what I had in mind...and let's just say that he has class policies that I find really fair...

Then finally,hell happens..haha...the PE professor was so strict.....he tried to be fun but I don't know...he's just too much....

then we had this acting activity where we had to act different feelings...and I was called to act the feeling of Lust!!!just because we had the same name...he called me!!!it was so embarassing....

anyway...i might watch X-men 3 tomorrow and go shopping...but 6 cycle mind is gonna perform in U-break tomorrow...I'm not sure yet..

first day blues in dlsu...

i really thought that the first day was gonna be horrible!!!but it wasn't really....except that the new building was not finished yet and we had to form really long lines for the elevator and endure the humid weather of the classrooms because the airconditioning wasn't really working fine..

but anyways...the professors we met this day was not terrible teachers...i think..i hope that impression stays...we were dismissed early in each class since it was only the first day and because of the weather...

i bought my PE uniform during my 3-hour break..then i ate at KFC with John Jo...

we already had meeting in TREDONE,ENGLCOM and CRITHIN...in the first two subjects,we were just given our syllabus for the term..then in crithin,we were given 3 mind games to solve and those who can answer will get merit points for the first exam....and im so happy that i know two answers out of 3.....i hope i will get to show my answers and get that merit points..

well this day was certainly tiring and hectic...but im expecting more tomorrow since we're up to 5pm!!

last few hours before the big day..

time is ticking so fast....this is the last night that i'll have before the schoolyear officially begins...well we are official Lasallians now that we have already sung the alma mater and stuff during the LPEP...all it needs is the classes to start college..

i'm sure that i'll encounter problems academically and personally....and i'm not sure if i'm ready to face it yet..

oh...and i'll have to buy my PE uniform tomorrow..i actually have to buy a lot of stuff..im a bit unprepared....

before the class starts,there is only one thing that i am pissed about....the dress code....i know that i shouldn't be really pissed because now we have the freedom(or at least some of it) to dress casually..but the fact that i can't wear flip-flops!!!that is so uncool!!!!

oh well...De La Salle University....here I come!!

2 days to go..

well it's already Saturday which means that only 2 days to go and i'll finally be in college....

im really nervous...and very afraid of the very hectic schedule and lots of workload...

i really try to cherish these days but it is really boring!!there's nothing to do...i've tried everything to make me busy..i've tried to redecorate my room but i ran out of ideas so i've failed with that...then i answered some surveys in friendster but i couldn't really find some good surveys..

hay....boredom....but i guess i'll won't have much of it once i start college..

Worst Top 2 in AI History!!!

I saw this one coming!!!!

With the outcome of the latest results show,American Idol now has it's ugliest finale...because of only one reason....and that is the fact that TAYLOR HICKS is in it....i don't understand why America is so deaf!!!i don't like his voice!!!Not only does he look like a granny,he also sounds like one!!!and to make it even more worst than it is,he might have the victory in the bag already....there's no more thrill to the show...it's the California girl against the Southerner.....and like in AI history...the Southerner is always on top....

oh well...i saw this one coming...it's the worst AI season ever!!

just look at the lineup of the top 12...

Kevin Covais..

half of them are not worthy enough...what's wrong America...the contest is not all about charisma...but the overall personality....and of course...the talent..at least Katharine still made it far...i just really hate Taylor Hicks...but it's useless...the show already has its eyes on a male winner...

This top 2 is just like a repeat of the Fantasia-Diana showdown...where it was obviously*IMO* Diana who has more talent overall than Fantasia who is only good at backfighting and bobo dancing..and the latter succeeded...but not really successful in longevity...and album sales as high as the original American Idol...

anyway...Go Katharine!!

Unfaithful

I saw Rihanna's latest video yeterday on TRL....well I think it's a nice song but it wasn't really one of Rihanna's best video..she could have had released a more upbeat track.

I think that it will be the most ugliest Top 2 in AI history this season...and why is that?....because Taylor might be on it...i hate it....they even make Elliott feel that it's his last time on the show.....hopefully not...although originally,he's not in my top 2,he might as well be on it now that Chris is out.Speaking of Chris,I just saw him as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show..and he performed Wanted:Dead Or Alive..

well there's really not much to say...i'm getting paranoid when i think about college...it's like the world's falling down on me...hay..

second day of LPEP

It was still raining on the second day of the orientation because of the storm....

so it was hard for me to commute...anyway..

when I arrived at DLSU,I sat with John Jo and Marian who were waiting in the benches and we were later joined by Ian and Sherie...then we headed to another side of the building where our other blockmates and our facilitators were staying.Then we had some chat while we were waiting for the next activity.After the registration,we proceeded to the chapel for our very first mass.We had a break afterwards then we proceeded back to the classrooms where we had a sharing activity with Ms. Ana...we discussed the 7 key events in St. John Baptist De La Salle's Life and the policies..

we had our lunchbreak afterwards and our campus tour where we saw our building and the sports complex and we also got a lot of freebies from different clubs when we had the tour in the club fair where we really felt welcome.

Then we went to the basketball court to exchange cheers to the opposing side...and we got to watch the dance tea and the pep squad..we were taught by the pep squad the cheers of DLSU....and after every activity,the MCs thanked the sponsors...i don't know why they have to thank them again and again...we played games and stuff.....oh,and the place wasn't airconed....haha....so it was hot...then the whole CLA students was asked to dance on the dance floor....i really wanted to dance but i really felt the need to piss that time and i couldn't find one...but when i found one afterwards,the party was over!!!wrong timing...

anyway....i still feel that i'm gonna get lost on the first day...

we went to Taal yesterday to have lunch with my mom's clan and the houses there was really old...no wonder it was called the "heritage town"..

anyway......i still lack sleep.....so i can't really tell everything..haha..

first day of orientation..

I woke up today and got greeted by a dark sky....which only means that it's going to rain which is the last thing i would want to happen...anyway,

I arrived at DLSU at around 7:40am then I registered in the central plaza and I got escorted to my block where we learned a cheer for our block,the best block,LR17.Then when we got completed,we proceeded to the auditorium place,which I have to say is so beautiful,for some program to welcome us Froshies.There was a cultural presentation,speech by the president,vice-dean and the SC president.We were taught some prayers and even the Alma Mater song.We went for the break afterwards where we had this muffin and juice.

We went to our designated classrooms after the break to have our Getting To Know You activity.I met a lot but i really felt awkward because I'm bad in interacting with other people especially with my condition right now.Anyway,we had played lots of fun and tiring games and of course,there was a punishment for the unfortunate ones.We got introduced to the executive boards of the student council and the CSO.Then we discussed some stuff about of course,La Salle and its policies and stuff.Then we had a campus tour and it was so tiring and i still feel like I was gonna get lost the next time around.Oh,and we are the only course that can use YM and friendster in the whole LaSalle student body.....how cool is that...but still,the faclitator told us some terrible teachers hehe and what we were gonna tackle on the future...and im really afraid about it...

anyway....i have lots to tell but i'm really tired from the activities today..

so I'll just blog some other details next time...

class outing!

a lot of things happened to me since my latest blog entry...

first,we went to the beach(as usual..) last Sunday but it was probably the most boring one we ever had..probably since we we're so used to the place already.

then last Monday,my dad woke me up early in the morning to teach me how to commute to and from DLSU,it was really a hassle and im afraid that i may get lost or even get victimized by robbers and thefts.And come to think of it,a lot of people are commuting so it's gonna be hard to have a fresh feeling after the trip.

Last Tuesday was my Grandma's birthday so we had dinner in their place.But I wasn't really enjoying because i was enthusiastic about the activity for the upcoming two days.

Yesterday,we had the class outing.Some of us waited at school.While waiting,I chatted with them and Rb visited us with his sis,Trixie, then we were ready to leave the school on our way to SM Bicutan where we will meet Pao and some others because they cannot pick us up at schol because of the color coding.So we took a short jeep ride and rode the bus to the mall.We got separated into 2 so we would fit into each car.We were the first to depart from the place as the other car was waiting for my other classmate.We had a stopover at Shell in Alabang where we bought something from the convenience store and then we hangout at the Ice Monster table where we had a little chitchat.We left afterwards and we caught up with the other car in the destination of the outing.

We first had loaded off our baggages into the house and set up the food for lunch.After lunch,everybody just had some fun and had swimming and relaxed.And one of the most fun and at the same time annoying stuf we had was when a fish suddenly got on the pool and we did all we could to catch it until it got dark.Unfortunately,we weren't successful.During the night,we had drinking sessions although I didn't drink and instead,drink a cup of coffee to at least drink something*hehe*,anyway,most of them just got drunk up to the point that their faces were red and threw up all over the place.We breally had a long night and me,Derick,Jude,Yuan and Marty slept around 3 in the morning.

I woke up today lacking a lot of sleep just like some of my classmates.Some of them resumed catching the fish,cleaned the house,watched tv,etc.We left around lunchtime and had lunch at Burger King.We waited afterwards for a bus to pass but before we could ride one,a lot of jeepneys halted in front of us hoping to get passengers so we had to reject a lot many times.We finally got in a bus where we were the noisiest.I really thought that people will get mad at us or even kick us out.But no,thankfully.The price of the ride wasn't really expensive as I thought it would cost.Some of us went down at Mantrade and then I along with others went down at Ayala.

Then Pao,Yuan separated from us because they were gonna go home so it was only me,Derick,JK and Manu who was left.We headed to Landmark to depsoit our bags and we caught up with Jozer along the way who just came from DLSU to have his physical exam.I asked some stuff about the Freshmen Orientation and I just got nervous when he said that they got lost inside the campus which make me think that the same thing will happen to me.

Anyway,me and Derick watched "Poseidon" since we had nothing to do.I really wanted to watch "Aquamarine" but I had conceded.The move wasn't that bad.The visual effects stood-out but it was somehow similar to Titanic.At least this movie did not waste time in introducing the characters and the action pace.In around a few minutes,the ship was capsized and a lot of people were killed.The movie wasn't really long so it ended at around quarter to 4pm.After the movie,we went around to look for our other classmates until we later learned that they were also watching a movie.

So I just went around to look for clothes or cd and I ended up buying a shirt from American Boulevard which i like. Then I went home afterwards.

I am really shocked with the results of American Idol!!!Chris was supposed to be in the finale or at least the top 3!!!damn!!!I've had enough of seeing Taylor perform!!If he makes it to the finale,This is probably the worst season of all!!Well,I think it isn't really one of the season that has really good singers.Season 4 is so far the best.

My Freshman Orientation will be tomorrow and I'm kind of looking forward to it and at the same time,afraid because of the new surroundings,people and my first time to go to school by commution everyday especially that the LRT station is not really surrounded by a presentable and crime free area.I hope it goes well.

I'm really glad that I got to be part of the class outing.It would probably better if there were more of us who have joined but still,it was memorable,and besides,the important thing for me is that I got to see them again.

And it would probably be the last time I'll see them again.So sad..I'm so happy I did not let this one happen without me...

finally...

im so happy right now that i finally have a computer that works....hehe..you don't know how much im dying to get my fingers type once again on the keyboard...haha...

anyway.....i got loads to tell...

i went out last Saturday and i dropped by Don Bosco first to try to get the class pictures..unfortunately,the only people that was in there was the MSTC people who were practicing their graduation rites and some people,more like kids,who were playing basketball,there were also workers....as usual...and i also saw one of my classmates....hayy....but teachers....none....as in the faculty was deserted and some requirements are just dumped outside....anyway,i went to the mall afterwards and i got to watch "When A Stranger Calls"...it's a pretty good and thrilling movie..you should see it....it's scary even without much gore or blood..then i just walked around the mall trying to reminisce since itt's been a long time that i haven't been on the mall and it will probably be the last...for the summer at least...then i caught up with my family who was going to watch "The Wild"...it's such a cute movie!!but it's more of "The Lion King" rather than "Madagascar"...

by the end of the day,i got to buy 8 cds!!namely,

Hilary Duff-Metamorphosis(i finally have cds of her 3 albums...hehe)
Pink-Missundaztood and Im Not Dead(i should have had the first album a long time ago and i just want to check out her latest.....i didn't mind buying her second since i don't like it)
Rihanna-A Girl Like Me(this is the cd im really wanting to buy....i love S.O.S so much...and i like a lot of her new songs)
Ultraelectromagneticjam-Various Artists singing Eraserheads music(now,this is my very first OPM cd..i like some of the songs....and it reminds me of my class...ID..:P)
Britney Spears-Unreleased Tracks(now this is a fake copy that contains some of her songs....i still don't like Britney and i just bought it because of I've Just Begun)
Spice Girls-Forever(Yes...im still a fan of them...)

moving on,im really ssad that Paris is gone....i was hoping that she'll make it until Top 4...and now im really sad to say that Elliot might bid goodbye next week....grrrr....Taylor should be OUT!OUT!OUT!

im really hating ETC right now for showing replays of Project Runway and One Tree Hill...i don't understand why they have to repeat episodes....it should have been episode 5 already of OTH....at least America's next Top model is showing regularly...

im loving Rihanna's SOS video....she's so hot....unlike Mariah in her latest,Say Something...where she's dressed like a slut while shopping....i just hope that next time that she'll be more conservative and leave the imagination to the younger fans...

lots of movies are gonna premiere this May but i can't watch it because our classes are gonna start so early!!!damn....i really want to watch Aquamarine,RV,X-Men,and a whole lot more....not to mention the season finale of AI.....which will be shown on the week of the start of classes...

speaking of classes,i just enrolled in DLSU today.....it was such a hassle!!!...i had to line up to different desks and stuff..i got my class schedule and it's not good!!!i have to wake up for my 7am class every Monday,Wednesday and Friday...oh well.....Wednesday the lightest day since i only have two subjects and it ends on the morning....Tuesday is probably the heaviest since i have four subjects and the last class ends at 5 pm!!!grrr.....i hope the professors and my classmates are nice and considerate...oh and a lot of staff from DLSU thought that i was a grade 6 student...i don't know if i'll take it as a compliment or an insult...i guess i have an advantage though....oh,and the medical/dental exam was easy....i really thought that we were gonna be asked to take off our clothes and our asses checked...haha...and they didn't even looked at the x-ray film....only the results...so much for all the hardwork...hehe..the enrollment process was finally finished around quarter to 6pm...

there's still an orientation next week.....i don't know if i'll be excited or what...
