A few months ago, I was watching a movie and a trailer of a movie starring Hugh Jackman came up. It was an action movie that had something to do with robots but it did not had any impact to me and I completely ditched it as a movie I'll just watch on DVD or wait for its showing on cable TV. Fast forward to last weekend, I got myself to watch that movie, and it was only because there were no other movies I was interested to watch, well The Three Musketeers were also showing but it was on 3D which was quite expensive and the non-3D has already passed the running time I wanted when I arrived so I had no other choice.

The movie was called Real Steel and it's about the father and son relationship as they compete in "robot wrestling". It tells the story of Charlie, played by Hugh, finding out he has a child, Max, and how their relationship grew closer through the sport and proving that it's not too late to make up for lost time. It's not just a copycat of Transformers but it is more than that. You can see how Charlie has completely matured to become a father everyone would love to have, including myself. I have to admit that I got teary-eyed which isn't a normal thing for me. The last time I had was when I watched Toy Story 3 last year.

This is definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year.
