5/14/13 - 90210

Farewell to the show I have loved in the past 5 years.

With the huge pressure on their shoulders, who would have thought they would last this long? The original series was so successful that everyone was making comparisons at the start.

But they were still able to somehow keep their own identity. I didn't watch the original series so I had nothing to compare this to which can be an advantage as I can enjoy it without biases.

Though it's just one of those series that revolves around the lives of teenagers, I still enjoyed it.

This show started around the time that I finished college so I could still relate to it somehow.

Admittedly, I only watched it at first because of the eye candy but I got interested with the storylines until I found myself watching it every week.

I've seen the characters grow through the ups and the downs. They all had their moments to shine and moments where I felt like this could be better but I can't really expect much from them.

Annie,Liam,Silver,Adrianna,Naomi,Navid and Dixon.....these names are just some of the characters that I'll remember.

They are quite underrated and I daresay that they are better than Gossip Girl which peaked too early and couldn't keep the momentum.

The show had a lot of great moments, great guest stars and great music to top it off. They also had several important issues tackled in the show which helped them mature in a way.

I really wanted this show to have another season but it's too late now. It's just sad that they weren't prepared when the announcement came. They didn't leave the show open-ended but I think that it deserves a better one.

But the ending doesn;t matter now. It's all those that happened during the entire run. I even stayed up late just to catch the latest episodes.

Long live the zip code!
