This past week has been grueling. I've been fighting sickness and I feel so helpless. It started out as a fever and that's what I thought it simply was until rashes started to appear on my face.
I didn't put much meaning onto it and even went to work on Friday morning since I felt like I've missed out so much already.
My officemates saw my condition and told me I still looked bad and my symptoms is similar to those of a dengue patient which alarmed me since I made a little Google search on what my sickness could possibly be and that was one of the conditions I was worried about since it can be fatal.
To avoid any further complications, I was asked to go home and have a check-up which I should have done when my fever was still high.
I asked my mom to go with me since I wouldn't be able to handle receiving a bad medical news by myself. However, when I got to the clinic, my fever was gone and my rashes is still found only on the face so he quickly ruled out dengue. But to be sure, a blood test was performed to check out my platelet count which turned out to be normal. What a sigh for relief! If it was dengue, I would most likely have to be confined and if I had to miss more days at work, I'll probably be kicked out. I was told it was just a bad case of fever with rashes or roseola (mild case of measles usually for babies).
The doctor didn't give me medications except to rest which I failed to do so and that's another story.
Now, my fever's gone, but the rashes has moved on to my entire body, my appetite is gone and I keep on running out of breath!
I really hope that tomorrow will be back to normal especially since I'll be coming back to work.
