My lola's sister celebrated her birthday at a restaurant called Omakase last night. The resto was located somewhere in QC. It was near the GMA7 building. Several relatives of ours came. Unfortunately, I have no idea who they were since I only see them once a year usually and I don't even get to interact with them because the clan is so big. But I still had a good time. The food was great. There was a celebrity who was eating in the same restaurant and my cousin had his pic taken. She was a Brazilian celebrity who apparently appears on Eat Bulaga but I don't get to watch tv anymore so I didn't know who she was. But she was beautiful though.

I should be taking things more private now. My mom bought a power supply for my old laptop and it's now working again and she just made a facebook account!So I have to be private all the time.

It's almost a month since I have quit my job and it's surprising that I'm still tired despite the fact that I'm mostly at home the entire time. I need to stop stressing myself and really take this period to rest while I can. I'm feeling the pressure to get a job already even if I don't want to. I am not really doing much recently so I don't have anything to update...so that's all for now!

It kinda sucks that my room is right beside the dirty kitchen. I'm very hungry and whatever our helper is cooking is oozing here in my bedroom through my window. I can't see what exactly is being cooked but I think I might be disappointed when I see the food when it's cooked. Don't you just hate it when you can smell the aroma of the food then when you see it, it's something you don't eat at all? I get that a lot but I hope not tonight since I'm starving. But what's more annoying are the sounds from the radio outside. They're tuned into a station that plays music that I don't like so I have to raise my volume when I listen to something and if I'm not, it's just plain annoying.

I've been stuck here in the house for a whole week and as much as I love chilling, I am looking forward to going out. I might accompany my mom tomorrow at the DFA because cellphones are not allowed within the premises so I'll have to carry it with me while she's doing her business. I'm looking forward to eating out.LOL. But we have to leave very early in the morning so I hope I can survive that.

Went to the dentist earlier to start off the day to have some things done on my teeth since I was already due. The whole thing went fast and I was done in less than an hour. Watched another happy episode of Modern Family after and continued downloading this Asian movie that I'm going to watch later. It's a sequel to a movie that I watched over at youtube. I liked the first one so I decided to download this one. It's a gay movie about two guys, one is openly gay while the other one is straight but they became close friends. It reminds me of my thesis so I enjoyed watching it. The first movie is called Permanent Residence and its follow-up is called Amphetamine. I actually got worried when I downloaded it because after loading it, there was no subtitles so I had to look in the net for downloadable subtitles. Fortunately, I found one:)

I watched Eat Pray Love last Saturday. I was a little hesitant to watch it because I found a lot of negative reviews from people who have seen it. Even I was bored when I watched a trailer, despite it being a Julia Roberts movie. I was surprised that the theater was almost jam-packed. Even the line was long. I assumed it was because it's a Saturday and a lot of people are going out, it still gave me hope that the movie is good. The movie was pretty okay. It was dragging in the middle and some scenes could be deleted.

It's almost a week since I left my job and you'd think that I'll be posting more regularly. I guess that's wrong.

My uncle who stays in China came here to the Philippines to have a short vacation and we had lunch along with my lola, my tita and my mom. We ate at Mesa restaurant in GB5. The food was good and we went around the mall after just to look around then had a delicious desert of froyo at Qoola, also at GB5. After we separated ways with them, my mom went to the gym as usual and I looked around. Just the other day, I spent the whole day watching all my shows and the net loaded very slow so I got fed up and decided to get a new router. My mom was initially hesitant to buy so I tried to look for the cheapest one as I went around the mall. I tried to check CD-R king again and even though I've asked them before if they were selling an antenna for routers and getting negative results, this time, the saleslady said they had one and I was relieved as she told me that it works for any brand, since every time I ask at any CD-R King branch, the response was their antennas were only for the CD-R King brand.I'm glad the saleslady that time was nice and did not lie. So I got my mom to buy an antenna for a much cheaper price than getting a new router.

Alos, I also looked for a boombox and guess what, I got to convince my mom to get me one that day!It was kinda cheap, just around P1.5K and the salesguy gave a discount so we got it at a lower price. Now I have a radio/cd player at my room:D

My first week of being jobless has been pretty good so far. I feel no rush to wake up early in the morning to watch my shows cause I can watch them during the entire day.

There is no adjective to describe how I'm feeling right now. I've been waiting for this and have been blogging about it for a long time and the time has come. As you all know, I resigned from the company and I'm supposed to leave on Oct. 30 but last Wednesday, our big boss told me that I'll only stay until yesterday and now I'm unemployed and loving it.

I don't know why my stay got short, my boss just talked to me and said he wants to move my last working date earlier. It was surprising as I only had 2 more working days after that day and I didn't have the chance to have a farewell to all my officemates, not that I have a planned send-off celebration though. And my plans got ruined a little, but an early vacation wouldn't be so bad though.

I already told my mom about my plan of going to driving school and she was okay with it. Now we have to look for where I would study.

So now, I'm going to enumerate some of the major and minor things I've learned and experienced during my stay, both good and bad.

1. Commuting in the wee hours of the day. I've learned that there are public transpo very early in the morning as well as very late at night. Though it wasn't pleasurable as the quantity of public vehicles pales in comparison to regular hours, I was able to survive or else I'll be poor from taking a cab every day.

2. Budgeting my expenses. Somehow, I got to deposit some money in my bank account which I didn't do so before because I had no money coming in. But I've learned that I spend exactly P101 for commute going to and from work. I've limited myself to cheap snacks and also bring food from the house for daily meals which allows me to save more money.

3. Less expenses for miscellaneous. Believe it or not, I only spent some money for clothing this week after I learned of my early departure. I spent money on two shirts that was on sale and that's the only time I spent money I've earned from work on clothes. Though I admit that I spent some money in the earlier months for some things that could have been avoided like watching movies every week in the theaters which I could have watched on dvd like I've been doing recently. But I'm pretty satisfied of my spending ways(or lack of it)

4. Books, books, books. I read a total of 6 books during my stay, that would make it a book per month. I know that's not as many as other bookworms out there but I only read when I have free time in the office plus I only buy books when they're on sale so I don't have a lot of chances to buy a lot of books when there is no sale.

5. Bypassing FB and Twitter. Now I know there are proxy sites but they are blocked in the office too but I learned how to bypass the blocked sites, or at least some of them.

6. Accessories. Since I haven't bought any new clothes during my stay, I made up for it by creating new accessories by using old stuff so they're old but made new in a different way:)

7. Movies. I don't know how many movies I've watched on theaters and dvd but I'm pretty sure it's more than 10.

8. Music. Oh how much I have listened to so many artists during work.

9. I've listened to so many messages from different people in the US and UK and now I've learned a bit more about them.

10. Walk in the city. Despite wanting to get a car, when I'm assigned in a night shift, it's nice to walk from the mall going to the office, listening to music and have some time to contemplate about a lot of things.

There are probably a lot more but I should probably list more in the following blogs so I have something to talk about while I'm a bum:P
