Several years ago, the Spiderman franchise had major success in theaters. The film starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst earned a lot in the box office. The third movie of the franchise had a lot of negative feedback from the public despite it being the highest earning movie from the franchise. However, fast forward and news of a reboot of the franchise came up to the public. It came as a surprise and many have already placed high expectations on the film. The movie studio still pushed through with it and acquired several upcoming big names such as Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone who were fresh from having big projects of their own. The villain in this movie was revealed to be the lizard. As time passed, hype started to build for this movie. Many were still skeptical but I was looking forward to it since I'm a fan of the lead actors.
The movie finally hit theaters in our country today and I got to watch it after buying my ticket yesterday to reserve my seat. I'm not going to reveal what happened since the movie is quite long, more than 2 hours(!) but it was quite good. Th actors in the film were good and they looked the part since the last franchise had Tobey playing a high school student even if he was much older in real life. There were also a lot of scenes that would make you laugh although there are also some small plot holes that you wouldn't really mind missing. I actually watched certain previews of the film before and I noticed there were some cuts in the movie that was in the trailer but was not in the movie. I'm not sure if it's just in our local theaters or they really didn't make the final cut.
I am already excited for the upcoming sequels of the movie. Andrew said in an interview that they are already working on the script for the next movie so we have something to look forward to!
By the way, there's a small scene in the mid-credits.

As I mentioned last week, I watched this concert featuring three great bands. Before the show, I bought William Beckett's EP which earned me a meet and greet opportunity after the show:)
Two local bands started the show. They were pretty good performers. Right after they finished, people in the gold section, which is where I was, got upgraded to the VIP section due to the low amount of people. Lucky for us, we didn't pay as high as those in front and yet we got to stay in their section:p
There For Tomorrow was the first band to perform and they started the show on fire. The crowd got wild in an instant.
Every Avenue was the second band. We sang along to their hits. They were good on stage.
Finally, William Beckett too the stage and played solo. He sang his songs from his EP as well songs by The Academy Is.., his former band.
After the show, those who bought band merchandise was able to have a meet and greet with the bands. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a picture but I did get my EP signed!

Another week has passed by and from a week filled with excitement, it has now turned to a feeling of hopelessness.
I just underwent training last week at the company I applied to in Makati. It was very accessible so I had no problems going there in the morning. I got to ride the shuttle going to Ayala that I used to ride going to my high school years ago. It's more convenient than taking the jeepney.
There were only two of us who took the training last week and what we basically did was to write articles all day. I learned a lot of new stuff and I was also able to write about topics that interests me which made me fall in love with the job. At first, I kinda suffered a writer's block but I was able to write something in the end. The training was supposed to be in four days but it was cut to three. We were advised to wait for a call and I still haven't received a call yet. I'm getting worried. I really like the job and I've been applying here for more than three times already. I can't believe I might have screwed it up by not doing my best in the training. I also found out that some of the workers there were Lasallians and one of them is even my batchmate. I'm still praying that I get a response from them. I don't want to be stuck in a rot.
I also had a problem with my BPI bank account. The training is actually paid and they told us they will deposit it in our BPI accounts. I haven't used mine for quite some time and my uncle told me to open a new one since my new account was connected to my previous company. But I don't have any valid IDs so I couldn't open a new one in another branch. I'll have to coordinate with my old branch regarding my old account. It should be easy but going to that branch is quite a hassle.
Earlier, we went to the wake of my aunt's dad. When I was a kid and my parents were on duty, they would often take care of me so I felt sad about this sad event. I know that he's happy in heaven now.
Tomorrow, I shall be watching the concert of Every Avenue,There For Tomorrow and William Beckett at SM North EDSA. I don't have a ticket yet but I'm sure there's still some left. Can't wait for it!

Once again, I am typing this in a rush as it is already 2 am and I don't want to waste what is possibly the last day of being unemployed.
I am going to have my training on Tuesday and I have just this Monday left to do what's left to do. I don't have any plans aside from going to the gym and I can't spend a lot because I just spent a lot of money purchasing cds during last night's concert.
The concert was amazing by the way. There weren't a lot of people as I expected. In fact, there were no one seated at the upper b and the gen/ ad section but it was no excuse for the fans not to be lazy and we were still able to give a good impression to the 3 bands after they've praised the crowd multiple times.
Before the show started, they were showing a documentary video regarding what several bands/artists encounters when they're not performing. I did not get to watch the entire video as I ate my dinner before entering the venue and came just barely 30 minutes before the show started.
Set Your Goals was the first band and warmed up the crowd. The audience really went wild when This Century went out to perform. The band even invited a fan to sing along with them in their last song. The girl was so lucky! We Are The In Crowd finally gave a good performance before the show ended. Their lead singer, Taylor Jardine, though, was quite noticeable that she was having some problems. I believe she has a cold or probably just tired of jet lag. But she still kicked ass! The crowd sang along with the bands and I'm so happy that I did not miss this opportunity to watch them.
But there's one big announcement that really got the crowd even wilder - Bazooka Rocks Festival. Labeled as the country's first indoor rock festival featuring 3 local bands plus 6 foreign bands that will be held on September! I surely can't wait for that! I just hope that I could get some money and with this potentially new job of mine, I could just have the money to spare for a ticket!

I kept on delaying this new post because there's just too much good stuff happening lately. I'm typing this in a rush so let me just give you a short summary. I passed the writing exam of the company I applied and training starts next week!I'm feeling excited for it!Also, I am going to watch a concert tonight. It's gonna be so much fun!
